Today Maria and I met with Laura Mackenthun and Ann Cameron to listen to Ann Cameron explain the program Mouse.org. This tech site has been opened in MN and is offering it to 200 schools. SRRHS has been accepted and Ann will being teaching these courses. It is basically an online learning program consisting of tutorials and projects that guide students through various parts of technology. For example, how to take apart and put together a computer, clean a computer, create apps and websites etc. The end goal is to train a core of students to create a help desk team.
One of the media clerks was out a while today for para training, so I filled in at the circulation desk. I was actually able to assist several students and it felt good to be able to know my way around this media center more than I did a couple of weeks ago.
I also worked on my presentation for the lessons I'll be teaching Monday on the Biography Reference Center site.
Later in the day I also worked on putting genre stickers on the fiction books. I'm up to the P's...the end is in sight!
Looking forward to seeing you work with the Biography Reference Center site, Tiffany. I will be at school soon.
