We read books with the K group today. Most of these students do OK with me, but a few either don't read at all with the group or they are almost shouting, so it's hard at times to balance them all out.
The 2nd grade "Chocolate Fever" book group is almost done with the book, so I think it will be nice to start something new with them!
I met with the 5th grade book group reading "Kidnapping" which was good because since they've been doing those online books, we haven't been able to meet with them each week as planned. They are kind of into this book, but I can tell it's not quite peeking their interest. I'm going to see if there are any online activities or information about this book to liven things up a bit. 
I chose a poetry book called "Name that Dog" to read to the library groups today. They really liked it! It is a fun read, so I'm glad they enjoyed it. I didn't read all of it, I explained to the groups that with some poetry books you can pick and choose which poems you want to read. Only one or two students in each group did not like this idea, but I think it's good for them to experience new things too.
At the end of the day more groups came in for voting! I'm interested to see which book wins!
